Juneteenth Festival

The 14th Annual JuneteenthKC Heritage Festival will take place at the 18th & Vine Historic Jazz District in honor of Juneteenth – commemorating the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Lead to Read KC will be there with free books and literacy games.
