Every action is vital to empowering children in their learning journey. Choose your way to support Lead to Read KC:
MENTOR
Spend one lunch hour each week reading one-on-one with a student in first through third grade.
REPRESENT
Join our Outreach Team! Staff the Lead to Read KC table at events, give presentations and more.
COLLECT
Hold a book drive at your school or office to collect new and like-new children’s books.
SORT
Help process donated children’s books at one of our Second Saturday Sorting events.
PACK
Join us every 4th Thursday from 3 to 5 P.M. to pack books for our Reading Is Everywhere locations.
TRANSPORT
Support our community book distribution program by delivering books across KC.
ORGANIZE
Host an event benefitting Lead to Read KC or plan a team volunteer event to help sort, process and deliver books.
SHOP
Shop our curated book list via our Amazon Wish List — or purchase from your favorite local retailer to put books in kids’ hands.
PROMOTE
Wear your support of Lead to Read KC on your sleeve! Simultaneously spread the word about our organization and fund the work.
TEAM UP
Encourage your employer to sign up for our exclusive team-volunteer experience One Day, One Book.
