Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a special guest at the Lead to Read KC reading rally held at the T-Mobile Center. He met with over 2,000 kids from around 20 local schools participating in the program.

Lead to Read KC to Host Patrick Mahomes at April 12 Reading Rally
Lead to Read KC is hosting a Reading Rally featuring Kansas City Chiefs QB and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes as part of his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Read for 15 program. Approximately 3,000 students from Lead to Read KC partner schools across the metropolitan area are expected to attend the rally on Friday, April 12 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the T-Mobile Center.
Black Kansas City stories to be presented to United Nations
The Mayor’s Commission on Reparations hosted Howard Law Professor Justin Hansford during his listening tour across 40 cities in the United States for the Black Audit Report. Kansas City African Americans provided their perspective on what the state of the community is ahead of Hansford’s presentation to the United Nations Permanent Forum on people of African descent.
